AFTERCARE
You will be provided with an aftercare kit containing post-care products and a detailed instruction card.
Please read this thoroughly and treat it as your brow bible for the 10-14 days following your tattoo appointment. If you misplace the card, please reach out for a digital copy.

Patience is required when achieving your dream brows as it takes 4-6 weeks to see true results.
Remember, cosmetic tattoo is a skin dependant procedure. Everyone's skin heals differently and will vary in times of recovery; it is important to keep this in mind when considering brow tattoo.
PREPARING FOR YOUR BROW LAMINATION
Please note this service is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding clients.
-
Pause use of active skincare ingredients leading up to your appointment
i.e. retinols, AHA/BHA's
-
Lightly exfoliating the brow area, 1-2 day before your appointment will allow for better retention, especially if combining with hybrid dye.
-
Ideal to arrive to your appointment with no makeup on or around the brows.

AFTERCARE
-
Avoid wetting brows for 24 hours - This allows the nourishment product to completely absorb.
-
Avoid touching, moving or sleeping on brow hairs for 24 hours - to avoid creating unwanted kinks.
-
Avoid applying makeup for 24 hours - once again, this allows the nourishment product to absorb properly.

This is important as the brow hairs need to set without disruption.

After 24 hours, brush hairs back into place once they've been wet using the brush provided. Feel free to continue to style daily with a brow gel.
After 3-4 days, use a small amount of your aftercare product daily to ensure your beautiful brows stay lush, healthy and nourished.
Brow Lamination is a LOW-maintenance not NO-maintenance treatment.

Although Blush & Brow Beauty treatments will always prioritise nourishment and health, brow lamination is still a chemical treatment and along with outside stressors like excessive heat (showers, saunas, aircon/heating), weather, environment and habits (makeup products, careless handling), premature dryness can occur and lead to shedding.

Following aftercare is crucial to maintaining a beautiful, longer-lasting result.

Hybrid Brow Dye
PREPARING FOR YOUR BROW DYE
Pause use of active skincare ingredients leading up to your appointment
i.e. retinols, AHA/BHA's
-
Lightly exfoliating the brow area, 1-2 day before your appointment and following with a generous layer of hydrating serum and/or moisturiser will allow for better retention and a smoother skin stain. This is especially prevalent in Winter!
-
Avoid fake tan on the face prior to your brow dye appointment. Fake tan affects the hue of your brow dye, nobody wants green or violet brows!
-
Ideal to arrive to your appointment with no makeup on or around the brows.

AFTERCARE
-
Avoid wetting brows for 24 hours - This allows the dye to set into the skin and hair.
-
Minimising moisture (water, skincare, sweat, oil, makeup removers etc.) directly on the brows will prolong the skin stain as long as possible.
-
Oilier skin types will always naturally break down the skin stain quicker.

Blush & Brow Beauty prides itself on doing everything possible to give you the most longevity, but hybrid dye is still a temporary product.

Skin cells and hairs naturally shed on a monthly cycle, and this is why hybrid dye cannot last forever! Everyone's skin/hair cycle and behaviour is unique to them and can vary from person to person.

Just like fake tan can only last so long on the skin, the skin stain from a brow dye is of the same mechanism.
Following aftercare is crucial to maintaining a beautiful, longer-lasting result.
